stitches

If you say so, then I’ll go;

Just so you know
You left me with treasures

Circles and lengths of every hue -
every line,
every song,
every moment,
every lesson,
all the time spent with you,
and for every smile you brought me too
– pure joy –

Let me thank you…
Yes, no regrets,
I have never been happier to go.
It was wonderful meeting you.

...kaibigan?

yun sanang matuwa ka kapag may sumasaya
ang dumamay ka sa lungkot
at mag-alala kapag may nawawalay
at di pag isipan ng anumang negatibo
ang taong kalimitan ay kinalulugdan ka
bagkus
nawa ay patuloy kang makakakitaan ng pagpapalakas ng loob
o kaya nama'y maasahan
kahit na lamang  ang 'yong presensya

There!

Dissipation would have been a wonderful outcry. But that hair thin clear-mindedness keeps breaking the fall. Where, Oh where shall my heart find solace?

CHRISTIANS

By Maya Angelou

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'.
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow.

Christians do not think they are perfect or better than others.
They know they are not.

Puzzle

Questions come
And go unanswered
Leaving delictis’
Mind-a-gobble

No fancy came into view
No such magnetism even pushed through
(How true?)

What comes between
Do keep me enlightened
What shaped thine thoughts
That fashioned this jumble

A game…
Of trust,
Your diversion?

And the price
Is it worth it?
This mounting confusion.
(for whose benefit?)

Was it simply
needing me by you
or the contrary

…oh, please!
help me lay to rest this puzzle now
and give the hounding
its final vow

Nuances

how is it that at times
what's good for the heart
is bad for the soul
and to choose at most
is not an option at all

a tyranny
a necessary evil
do i set free

shall i keep it hidden
shall i let it be

I AM: WHO I AM

Today is the birth of I AM.
I AM is anything and anybody I AM shall be.
I AM is not limited.
I AM is not absolute.
I AM is something.
I AM is anywhere.
I AM is somewhere you  want to be.
I AM is someone you may know.
I AM may be real.
I AM may be just a figment of your mind.
I AM may twist your suspicions.I AM may create your reality.
I AM may be exotic, extinct, inexistent.
I AM may be a tall glass of iced coffee jelly.
I AM may be a a cup of milk tea.
I AM is a blank space.
I AM is a soft, warm, welcoming embrace.
I AM is a blanket.
I AM is a thousand rainbows' answer to your raging storm.
I AM is a heart beat.
I AM is a nerve, a dot, a point.
I AM is magic.
I AM is a poem.
I AM is a song.
I AM is a story.
Yet, I AM may be nothing, just as I AM.

PASSING TIME

by Maya Angelou

Your skin like
dawn

Mine like musk
One paints the
beginning

of a certain end.
The other,

the end of a sure beginning.
